Planning for college is no small task. But with a little help, it may ease some of the pressure.
On Aug. 8, an event will be hosted at the Florida Institute of Technology on the main campus for students and parents who want to learn about the college preparation process.
The “Planning for Your Future” seminar will provide resources for attendees, including FIT student and staff volunteers who will be on-site to answer questions and provide free information.
The event is called the College P.R.E.P. program (Providing Resources to Enhance Preparation) and is sponsored by the Truth Revealed International Ministry. This is the fourth year the program has been presented.
The event is free, but registration is required.
Registration can be done by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org or calling 321-952-5151.
Lunch will also be provided by FIT.
The event will take place from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the Olin Engineering Building, Room 118.
“The information the students and parents receive is truly invaluable,” Valeta Cameron, director of the College P.R.E.P. program, said in a release. “We are excited to have the event at Florida Tech this year so that students will gain exposure to the various opportunities available to them right here in their own neighborhood.”
